The Streamline Meditation Technique calms down and relaxes the mind, reducing mental stress levels and promoting more orderly, effective thinking.

During the practice of the Streamline Meditation technique, the mind is allowed to experience increasingly quieter levels of the thinking process until it arrives at the source of thought; "Pure consciousness."

A field of infinite creativity, intelligence and happiness. After meditation these qualities tend to flow on into daily activity.

The basis of all action is thought or thinking . All the great discoveries and achievements of mankind, have been made possible from harnessing the power of thought. Therefore, in order to enjoy success in life, it is important that our thinking be very powerful, orderly and creative.

By drawing the mind within to the source of thought during the practice of meditation, thinking naturally becomes more silent, powerful and streamline, providing us with a solid foundation for more fulfilling rewarding activity.

Reduce Stress and Stress Related Illness

In a modern world that values activity, achievements and results, it's unfortunate that more people are suffering from stress. For all the activity of modern society, there is still a fundamental need for moments of silence and relaxation. Meditation can reduce stress and help us relax, however the benefits of meditation are numerous and can extend into other aspects of your life.

Many people these days suffer from stress. According to the Grant Thornton IBOS Survey 2004, as many as 1 in 3 adults suffer from moderate to extreme levels of stress. This stress can cause other illnesses such as headaches, depression, High blood pressure, moodiness, insomnia and a weak immune system to name a few (Understanding Stress, 2007). Meditation is a potent form of stress relief, with studies proving that meditation can significantly reduce stress levels after as little as one week, thereby simultaneously treating all stress related illnesses at their source.

Improve Mental Health and Age-Related Neurodegeneration

  • A study by the Swedish government on 35'000 people who practise meditation found that the rate of mental health problems was up to 200 times lower than that of the general population. (Ottoson, J-O. Swedish National Health Board Report on Transcendental Meditation. 1977)

  • Researchers at Harvard, Yale and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have found that after years of daily use meditation can actually increase the size of your brain which can combat degenerative brain diseases. This can:
    • Increase brain function, concentration and memory
    • Reduce age-related neurodegeneration
    • Decrease the risk of cerebrovascular disease
    • Prevent dementia

  • Meditation decreases oxygen consumption, heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure, and increases the intensity of alpha, theta, and delta brain waves-the opposite of the physiological changes that occur during [stress]. (Herbert Benson, M.D. Harvard Medical School, author of The Relaxation Response)

  • Meditators were less anxious and neurotic, more spontaneous, independent, self-confident, empathetic and less fearful of death. (Atlantic Monthly, May, 1991)

  • Twenty out of twenty-two anxiety-prone people showed a 60% improvement in anxiety levels following an eight week course in meditation. (University of Massachusetts)

  • 75% of long-term insomniacs who have been trained in relaxation and meditation can fall asleep within 20 minutes of going to bed. (Dr. Gregg Jacobs, Psychologist, Harvard)
